Lynne Thompson - National Information Events Organiser
After studying Psychology and Counselling, I completely changed direction in my choice of occupation, coming primarily from a financial background. I then worked as a Direct Payments Support Co-ordinator for The Wilf Ward Family Trust for three years supporting and advising people with all types of disabilities, physical, learning, sensory impaired and mental health. I gained a lot of knowledge in this post that compliments my role within the NGVFA enabling me to coordinate information events nationally and ensuring that our services are promoted to everyone that may benefit.

Maria Healy - Data System Administration Officer
Having recently graduated from Loughborough University, where a gained a BA hons degree in drama, I have spent the last year or so adapting to life in the "grown up" world !!! To gain some experience I joined the temping agency Office Angels who, after many other assignments, placed me in the NGVFA covering for Jo on her maternity leave. I settled in really well and enjoyed working for the charity and when the permanent role of Data System Administration Officer was offered to me, I was very happy to accept! My role is very varied and includes maintaining the VIPA database, other administration duties as well as other odd jobs that arise.
