These Terms and Conditions are here to ensure that our discussion forum is a safe and informative place to be. Your access and use of the NGVFA Discussion Forum is subject to your acceptance of and compliance with these Terms and Conditions.
By logging into and using the NGVFA Discussion Forum you will automatically be taken to have read, understood and accepted these Discussion Forum Terms and Conditions. You are allowed to use the NGVFA Discussion Forum on the condition that you log in with a user ID and password issued to you personally; you do not use anyone else’s user ID or password and do not allow others to use yours.
Please note that messages posted on our forum/discussions express only the views of the author of the message and do not necessarily reflect the views of the NGVFA.

Only designated NGVFA staff have the ability to edit and/or remove messages which they believe to be unacceptable to the NGVFA, users of this forum or the general public. However, it is impossible for the NGVFA to monitor every message. Therefore, you agree that neither the NGVFA, nor any person or entity associated with them, will be held responsible for the content, accuracy, completeness or validity of any information posted.
Any user who believes that a posted message is not acceptable should contact us immediately by using the "Report to moderator" link on the post in question. Upon receipt of such notification, we will make every effort to take whatever action is necessary as soon as is practically possible. However, as this is a manual process, you should be aware that we may not be able to remove or edit reported messages immediately.
The NGVFA reserves the right to edit, lock or delete any message for any reason whatsoever, at our discretion. You agree that you are solely responsible for the content of your messages and that you will indemnify and hold harmless the NGVFA with respect to any claim based upon the appearance and/or transmission of your message(s).
You agree that you will not use our forum to post any material, or links to any material, which is abusive, vulgar, hateful, harassing, obscene, profane, sexually oriented, threatening, invasive of a person's privacy, or that would otherwise violate any law.
You also agree that you will not post any copyrighted material without the express permission of the copyright holder, unless such copyright is owned by you, this forum or the NGVFA website.
The NGVFA reserve the right to ban anyone who repeatedly posts unacceptable material.
The NGVFA will not divulge your personal information to any third party outside of the NGVFA except in the event of any complaint or legal action arising from any message posted by you. In these circumstances the NGVFA reserves the right to reveal your identity and any other information we may know about you.
All submissions/messages to the NGVFA discussion forum become the copyright of the NGVFA. The NGVFA reserves the right to use any information posted onto the website by you in the forum for any NGVFA purpose, including providing information for other members, fundraising, advertising, merchandising, avatars etc.

Personal Disclosure
Please be aware that our forums are open to public viewing and anything posted here has, therefore, the potential to be viewed by a great number of people and as such information you share via the NGVFA forums could be distributed or used in ways you did not intend. For example, if you disclose your personal email address, mobile phone number, etc. in an NGVFA forum a member of the public could copy that information and distribute it to others without your permission. Similarly, if you use a forum to relate a personal experience to fellow members expecting it to remain confidential, it could be viewed by or copied and distributed to others outside your intended audience. Therefore, please exercise caution in sharing information via the forums that you would not wish to be made public and do not include any personal information in postings (i.e. no names, email addresses, phone numbers, or home addresses). The forum system provides a method for you to contact other forum users without revealing such personal information, provided the other member has agreed to allow such contact - see below under "Profiles".
Profiles
The forum can be viewed by the general public but profiles cannot.
Your login name is designed so as to preserve your anonymity; only designated NGVFA staff will be able to identify you from your login name. If you wish to remain anonymous to other forum users do not complete any of the boxes in your profile. If you wish to enter your proper name and other details in your profile please be aware that any registered member of the NGVFA Discussion Forum will be able to view your profile and the details that you have entered.
You can receive emails from other forum users without revealing your email address to them. This preserves your anonymity unless you choose to reply to this email from your personal email address. You can also choose to turn off the receipt of emails form other forum users. When you use the forum to contact other users, your email address will be sent to them with your message.
NGVFA Queries
The Discussion Forum is not intended to replace existing contact between the Office and Members therefore please do not use the forum as a route to seeking help and advice from the NGVFA office staff. Please contact the office direct as normal by telephone, email or letter. Similarly any queries regarding Membership or Forum registration should also be made direct to the NGVFA office and not posted to the forum.
